The Casio G-Shock GW700BDJ-2A features ion plating in which metal is vaporized in a vacuum chamber where application of an electrical current ionizes the metal vapor. The watch is solar powered and receives time calibration radio signals from Fort Collins, Colorado, and maintains accuracy to within one second of official U.S. government time. The watch also features a reverse LCD display.
